Enzinc is commercializing a zinc sponge anode that is a drop-in technology for legacy lead acid and nickel-cadmium battery companies to deliver a battery with the energy of lithium with no fire. The anode eliminates dendrite growth, has more reactive surface area, and is just zinc, making it easily recyclable. It can be paired with different cathodes (nickel, manganese, and carbon) to support multiple markets at different price points.
