PROBLEM FOCUS
Traditional turbine blades suffer from major pain points: low reliability due to low manufacturing quality, expensive components, zero-recyclability of fiber and/or carbon composite materials, complex logistics, and global value chain dependency (low-cost labour market of China and India).
TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION
Rewind's blade is built around a structural steel body (spar + additional reinforcements) and aluminum fairing for aerodynamics shape. The main spar (thin-walled steel to minimize weight) is stabilized against buckling via static internal pressurization, enabling high torsional stiffness (superior range of magnitude compared to traditional blades) and structural integrity. The first prototype is built industrially in three segments and assembled on-site. All materials are fully recyclable.
