PROBLEM FOCUS
Nickel refining companies currently utilize high pressure acid leaching (HPAL). This process requires a lot of energy and billions of dollars of CAPEX. For every ton of nickel produced, HPAL generates 10-20 tons of CO2 emissions and 100-150 tons of toxic waste from its residue.
TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION
BANIQL's core technology uses a special chemical process to selectively extract nickel and cobalt from raw materials at lower temperatures and atmospheric pressure. This method produces higher-quality nickel at 30% lower costs with near zero waste. The process also uses 80% less energy and water, and the leftover materials can be repurposed into useful products like magnesium, fertilizers and construction materials.
