Today, 7-10% of greenhouse gas emissions result from refrigeration. Almost all cooling devices rely on a 150-year-old technology, which consumes large amounts of energy and cannot be further improved. If nothing changes, we will emit 9 gigatonnes of CO2 equivalents by 2050.

Instead of gas refrigerants, MAGNOTHERM uses a solid-state material to create clean and highly efficient cooling. By using magnetocaloric materials and water, a reliable and durable cooling unit for various applications is developed.
